Shillong, Sep 28: Shillong’s Daman Ropmay took home the gold medal in Bodybuilding (50-55kg category) and bronze medal in Classic Physique Class A (U-70kg category) at the India Premier Natural Championship Series in Lucknow.
His double podium finish came across two different competitive categories, requiring him to meet separate judging criteria for muscular development, conditioning, symmetry and overall physique presentation.
Ropmay was congratulated on his success by Sports and Youth Affairs Minister Wailadmiki Shylla and Meghalaya Rajya Sabha MP James PK Sangma.
