The foundation stone for the upgrade of the Jongksha Primary Health Centre to Community Health Centre status was laid by local MLA and cabinet minister Banteidor Lyngdoh yesterday.
Mawkynrew MDC Martle Mukhim, Block Development Officer G Dkhar and Director of Health Services Dr H Lyndem were also present on the occasion.
Lyngdoh said that with the upgrades, the people of the Jongksha area will be able to access even better healthcare facilities and he called on all stakeholders to cooperate with the state government in addressing health issues and to improve the healthcare scenario.
