The Janbhagidari events on awareness about G20, NEP, FLN was conducted by the West Jaiñtia Hills District Mission Co-ordinator, SSA and the District School Education Officer with a bicycle rally.
The rally which was flagged off by DMC, SSA M. Lakiang began from the gate of Kiang Nangbha Government College, Jowai and concluded at the community hall of the Chilliang Raij.
The programme is part of the nationwide Janbhagidari events in the lead up to the Education Working Group meeting of the G20 in Pune from June 19-21. The events will include a series of activities and programmes on the theme of “ensuring foundational literacy and numeracy” based on a blended learning approach.
Students and teachers from various schools in Jowai attended the event at the Chilliang Raij community hall where a story telling and exhibition on teaching-learning material were held.
Prizes were also given to winners of the exhibition which include, H.K. Sing Memorial School, Jowai, St. Michael English School and Loompyrdi Iongpiah UPS SSA.
