Hynñiewtrep Youth Council East Jaiñtia Hills District has raised concerns over the clash of recruitment examination dates between the National Ayush Mission and Director of Health Services (MI).
Both the examinations, scheduled for August 3, 2024 have prompted the HYC to urge the East Jaintia Hills Deputy Commissioner for reconsideration.
According to the pressure group, the NAM examination for various posts has been scheduled at Jaintia Eastern College, Khliehriat at 11 am while another exam is being conducted by the DHS (MI) in Shillong.
“Several applicants from our district have expressed their concerns about this scheduling conflict. The applicants have conveyed that it would be extremely challenging for them to attend the exam conducted by the DHS in Shillong due to the significant distance from Khliehriat, making it nearly impossible for them to reach the venue on time,” the HYC said.
Since both the examinations are important, the HYC urged the Deputy Commissioner to ask the authorities to consider postponing the examinations under NAM to a later date. “This adjustment would greatly alleviate the undue pressure on the applicants and ensure that they have a fair opportunity to appear for both examinations,” it added.
