The Hynñiewtrep National Youth Front (HNYF) Eastern region has demanded authorities to book criminals responsible for the murder of a 29 year old man last month.
Members of the HNYF met with West Jaintia Hills Superintendent of Police, Chemphang Syrti today to seek justice for Kyrshandame Talang who was found dead in a border village in Moosdai.
Talang, a resident of Mupliang village was killed by unknown people and his body was recovered on March 10.
HNYF vice president Pynbiang Rymbai has demanded swift action while underscoring the need to thwart such crimes, especially in the border areas.
Rymbai said the people in the border villages live under constant fear because such crimes continue to happen.
