The expenditure observers for the Shillong parliamentary constituency, Satyapal S Meena and Kamlesh Kumar, visited Jowaitoday where they conducted a meeting with the expenditure monitoring team (EMT).
The meeting was held to assess the preparedness and ongoing activities related to election expenditure in view of the upcoming Lok Sabha election.
In the meeting the expenditure observers discussed roles and responsibilities of the EMT and advised the members to work in close coordination and compile their reports in a timely manner.
The meeting was attended by the District Election Officer BS Sohliya, Assistant Returning Officers, Nodal Officers and EMTs.
