A highly-decomposed body of a man was found floating on the Satharlong river in East Jaiñtia Hills district, police said today.
The body was found around 11 am yesterday, Superintendent of Police Giri Prasad said.
The unidentified man’s body was sent to the Khliehriat Civil Hospital after a post-mortem was conducted on the spot, he said.
Aged between 40-45 years, the man was wearing black t-shirt and black trouser and measures about 5.4 feet.
Police have called in for identification of the deceased man by calling the investigation officer at 8119969604.
