Healthcare IT firm gets new Shillong office

Medusind, a US-headquartered IT and ITES healthcare company, inaugurated its new office in Shillong on Saturday.

The event was graced by Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma and was attended by Kranti Munje and Ninad Chavda from Medusind.

The CM was very enthused to see Medusind recruit such a large number of youth, according to a press release. He was reportedly appreciative of the company for generating opportunities for the people of the state.

Medusind has more than 4,000 employees across multiple locations in India and the USA. “The decision to open an office in Shillong was driven by the significant number of employees from the North Eastern region and aimed to attract local talent while also allowing existing employees from Shillong to remain connected to their home geography,” the release said. “The opening of the Shillong office is a testament to Medusind’s commitment to expanding its presence in India. The company has experienced remarkable growth in the region, with the employee count growing from zero to 450 in just six months.”

Munje said that the company sees plenty of potential in the North East region and is committed to promoting diversity and inclusivity in the workplace.
