The Nengkra regional unit of the Garo Students Union (GSU) has written to Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma to complain about an “abandoned” public road from Nengkra to Williamnagar in East Garo Hills.
The dilapidated road is a huge inconvenience to residents, doubling travelling time for commuters. The GSU also said that bridges that are near-collapse are dotted along the route and there are other areas where concerns of landslides are high.
