Four suspected members of a gang of thieves were arrested by police in East Garo Hills, it was informed today.
It was on the night of June 11 that unknown miscreants stole construction materials and other items from a stock house located in Williamnagar.
The suspects were arrested on Monday and the items they are alleged to have stolen were recovered. The items include a large quantity of iron rods of various diameters, CCTV cameras, an LED monitor, ceiling fan, angle grinder and a Bolero pickup truck (ML 13A 6609) used to commit the theft.
All four suspects are residents of or hail from the Williamnagar area. They were identified as Bikan D Sangma (38), Jetlow R Marak alias Ajit (23), Sengba N Marak (25) and Pebiriush G Marak alias Pebut (30).
