Six individuals have been accused in a complaint filed with police of harassing residents and trying to take over a Nokmaship in South Garo Hills.
The FIR was lodged yesterday and accused the six – Dipnal M Sangma, Lohan R Marak, Bulbul M Sangma, Rosa M Sangma, Prantush S Marak and Anded R Marak – of “creating unbearable problems to the co-residents and other clan members in the locality” of Rompa Asim with the aim of taking over the Nokmaship held by the present A’king Nokma Nodina M Sangma.
The complaint, signed by Ringnan M Sangma, Locking M Sangma and Senggrang M Sangma, further accused the six in September of obtaining approval to form a Rompa Asim Me’cheng Mahari Committee by “falsely” submitting signatures of people without ever holding a meeting or discussion on the formation of such a body.
