Schools in East Jaiñtia Hills are to be closed on Friday and Saturday in view of the expected bad weather to hit the district.
The order was issued by Deputy Commissioner Abhilash Bharanwal under the Disaster Management Act 2005. Meghalaya has been facing heavy rain for the past several days and the Indian Meteorological Department has today forecasted more bad weather in East Jaintia Hills today and tomorrow.
