As part of its ongoing nationwide Covid-19 awareness campaign, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in Shillong is organising a series of programmes around the state capital.
Teams from the CRPF’s 67 Battalion have been actively engaged in various parts of the city to raise awareness about the Covid pandemic, including organising a 5 kilometre run, putting up banners at prominent places as well as spraying disinfectants at select public places to help prevent further spread of the virus.
The battalion has also placed hands-free sanitiser dispensers at religious places, including churches and puja pandals.
The programmes will be further extended in the coming days to maximize outreach, the CRPF said in a press release today.
