The seven-day rolling average of new Covid-19 cases in the state dropped to 76.00 today, the lowest it has been since April 16.
There was one new Covid-related fatality in Meghalaya today, as well as 81 new cases and 79 recoveries.
The lone death was in Ri-Bhoi, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills recorded 51 new cases today, West Khasi Hills 22 and eight between the other nine districts.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 56 recoveries, West Khasi Hills 12 and 11 between the other nine districts.
There are now 893 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 477 active cases, West Khasi Hills 262, West Jaintia Hills 67, Ri-Bhoi 37, West Garo Hills 21, South West Khasi Hills 11, East Jaintia Hills eight, East Garo Hills six, South Garo Hills two, South West Garo Hills one and North Garo Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 82,815 Covid-19 cases, of which 893 are active, 80,490 have recovered and 1,432 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 97.19 percent. The fatality is 1.73 percent. The seven-day rolling average for new cases is 76.00 and for new deaths is 2.43.
