There were three new Covid-related fatalities in Meghalaya today, as well as 67 new cases and 162 recoveries.
One death was in East Khasi Hills and the other two in West Khasi Hills, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills recorded 42 new cases today and 25 between the other 10 districts.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 98 recoveries, West Khasi Hills 42, 10 in Ri-Bhoi and 12 between the other eight districts.
There are now 923 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 476 active cases, West Khasi Hills 277, West Jaintia Hills 79, Ri-Bhoi 39, West Garo Hills 19, South West Khasi Hills 13, East Garo Hills nine, East Jaintia Hills five, South West Garo Hills three, South Garo Hills two and North Garo Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 82,647 Covid-19 cases, of which 923 are active, 80,296 have recovered and 1,428 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 97.16 percent. The fatality is 1.73 percent. The seven-day rolling average for new cases is 82.71 (the lowest since April 17) and for new deaths is 2.29.
