There were 184 new Covid-19 infections, 159 recoveries and three fatalities recorded in Meghalaya today.
Two of the deaths were in East Khasi Hills and one in West Jaiñtia Hills. All three were unvaccinated people, the Health Department informed.
East Khasi Hills recorded 91 new cases today, West Khasi Hills 62, West Jaiñtia Hills 19 and 12 between the other eight districts.
East Khasi Hills accounted for 61 recoveries, West Jaiñtia Hills 59, West Khasi Hills 18 and 21 between the other eight districts.
There are now 1,990 active Covid-19 cases in the state. East Khasi Hills alone accounts for 914 active cases, West Khasi Hills 456, West Jaiñtia Hills 233, Ri-Bhoi 228, South West Khasi Hills 87, West Garo Hills 29, East Jaiñtia Hills 22, East Garo Hills six, North Garo Hills six, South West Garo Hills six and South Garo Hills three.
In all, Meghalaya has had 80,430 Covid-19 cases, of which 1,990 are active, 77,051 have recovered and 1,389 have died from the virus. The recovery rate is 95.80 percent. The fatality is 1.73 percent. The seven-day rolling average for new cases is 174.86 and for new deaths is 2.57.
