There was one new Covid-related death in Meghalaya today, along with four new cases and four recoveries.
South West Khasi Hills accounted for the one fatality. There have now been 12 Covid deaths this month in the state.
There was one new case each in East Garo Hills, East Khasi Hills, Ri-Bhoi and West Jaintia Hills.
Ri-Bhoi accounted for three recoveries and West Garo Hills one.
There are now 83 active Covid-19 cases in the state. West Jaintia Hills alone accounts for 17 cases, East Khasi Hills 16, Ri-Bhoi 13, West Garo Hills 12, East Jaintia Hills five, West Khasi Hills five, South Garo Hills four, East Garo Hills four, North Garo Hills three, South West Khasi Hills two, South West Garo Hills two and Eastern West Khasi Hills zero.
In all, Meghalaya has had 93,674 Covid-19 cases, of which 83 are active, 92,001 have recovered and 1,590 have died from the virus. The seven-day average of new infections has stayed level at 10.43.
