Based on the contact tracing status and testing of the high risk contacts and the reports received thereof, the District Magistrate, East Khasi Hills District has lifted the containment of the houses of Tina Warjri of Khliehshnong, Malki, Mano Lyngdoh at Lawjynriew Rngi Rum, (Late) Minati Chakraborty, Laban Last Stop, near Purbasha Guest House, the residences of Dr. Syrpailang Kharlukhi at Dhankheti, Malki, Bernadino Mawkhiew at Chinapatty, Malki, house of June Dkhar in Lawjynriew, Rngi Neng, the first and second floor of the building of Dr A K Das, near Hope Clinic, Pine Mount Ridge, Laban and the house of Joginder Singh, tenant of Mohan Veer Kaur, AGYA Cottage, near Meghalaya Guardian Office, Lower Lachumiere with effect from October 17.
The containment order has also been lifted from the house of Roshan Ali, Altaf Hussain, Asmad Alam and Zalim Alam at Suleiman compound in Lumdiengjri, Brina Mawrie, Adeline Kharkongor and Baiamonlang Khongwir at Pohktieh, Nongthymmai with effect from October 16.
