Shillong MP and president of the state Congress Party, Vincent Pala, has said that the party is not wealthy but has a big heart.
“The Congress is not a party that gives money or is rich but is a big-hearted party that works together and gives the best governance, which is something that cannot be bought,” Pala said at a meeting in Rangthong, South West Khasi Hills, yesterday where Victorealness Syiemlieh was confirmed as the Congress candidate for Ranikor constituency.
Alleging that a few politicians and those with political connections are getting richer while the poor are becoming poorer under the present government, Pala encouraged and urged the party workers not to lose hope but to work harder without hesitancy.
