The famous Christmas lights of Moolamylliang village in East Jaintia Hills will be turned on from December 18.
Over the last few years the village has built up a reputation for tourism, environmental care and, especially, its Christmas lights.
Waheh shnong Apmon Pashiang in a statement said the lights will be on display until January 3.
The dorbar shnong has organised a raft of activities for the holidays. A musical night will be held on December 24 by a Jowai-based band, Magnificent Obsession.
A gospel concert will also be held the next day from 6 pm to be attended by DJ Wanshan and Eladmitre Dkhar as guest artists.
