The faculty members and staff of the College of Post-Graduate Studies in Agricultural Sciences, Umiam virtually attended the inaugural session of the three days CAU-Regional Agri cum Fair NER Agri Expo being held at 4th Mile, Chumoukedima district in Nagaland.
More than 1000 farmers from the region, 100 student delegates, and over 90 stalls are participating in this Agri Fair. Eminent experts, scientists, and faculties from across the country in the agriculture and allied sectors are attending the event.
Held under the theme “North East India Farmers Conclave: Igniting Agri Revolution (Connecting Agri-preneurs to Circular Economy)” the event aims to provide a platform for knowledge exchange, industry collaboration, and making FPO/FBOs a growth engine in the northeastern region for igniting the Agri Revolution.
The events included the FPO/FBO Summit, Investors Meet, Incubation, Buyers & Sellers Meet, Ideation, Exhibition, Dog Show, Horticulture and Fruits Show, and Students Engagement Conclave.
The conclave will create a vision document to empower farmers and youths to join the revolution and bring about changes in their respective towns and villages in the region.
