Personnel of the 181st Battalion of the Border Security Force (BSF) Meghalaya seized medicines worth Rs 3.74 lakh on the international border today before they could be smuggled into Bangladesh.
Based on reliable information, the BSF troops planned an operation along the border in South Garo Hills and foiled the smuggling attempt, the BSF said in a press release today. No information was provided on the fate of the smugglers. The seized medicines were handed over to Customs officials for further action.
