The Border Security Force (BSF), Meghalaya frontier has apprehended 78 Bangladeshi nationals since January 2025, who attempted to infiltrate into India through the international border.
The BSF in a statement today said its vigilant troops will continue to demonstrate unwavering commitment to safeguarding the nation’s borders and preventing illegal infiltration attempts.
Meanwhile, four Bangladeshi nations and an Indian tout were apprehended on April 3 in an operation.
Acting on intelligence input troops from the 04th Battalion thwarted the infiltration attempt in East Khasi Hills district.
The apprehended individuals, along with other recovered items, have been handed over to Pynursla Police Station for further investigation and legal action.
