Civic action programmes were held by the Border Security Force (BSF) in South Garo Hills as part of the force’s efforts to connect with the people living on the Indo-Bangla border.
Today, the 1st Battalion organised a civic action programme in Mahadev, South Garo Hills, which included a free health camp for 150 people. Medicines were distributed to those in need and sewing machines, stretchers, tarpaulins, tables, chairs, etc were distributed to schools and villagers of Kanai, Galasora, Mahadev, Patlaban, Durbeta and Maheshkhola.
Simultaneously, the 100th Battalion organised another programme during which various sports and household items were distributed to the residents of bordering villages Jatrakona and Nagrajora.
