A one day hands-on training program on “Basic Life Support” for doctors, nurses and laboratory technicians of Blood Centres of Meghalaya was organised at NEIGRIHMS.
The training programme held on August 29 was organised by the Meghalaya AIDS Control Society with Meghalaya State Blood Transfusion Council in collaboration with the departments of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Centre and Anaesthesiology and Critical Care, NEIGRIHMS.
The program was inaugurated by NEIGRIHMS Medical Superintendent, Dr. C. Daniala and Joint Director (Research) of the Directorate of Health Services Dr. A. Kharjana.
Associate Professors Dr. Priyanka Dev and Dr. Neha Rawat from the Department of Anaesthesiology and Critical Care and Dr Lutika Nepram, Chief Medical Officer from the Department of Transfusion Medicine and Blood Centre, NEIGRIHMS were the experts who provided training to the health workers.
