Anti-narcotics police in Baghmara arrested three people in possession of 256 bottles of a potent cough syrup, phensedyl, during a raid on a house in Gasuapara.
Each bottle was of 100ml in volume, equating the haul to 25.6 litres.
Police had received a tip-off, which led them to conduct the raid, and they shared details of the incident and a photograph on social media.
Director General of Police LR Bishnoi then praised the members of the South Garo Hills police on the successful raid.
