Union Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Rameswar Teli said today that the Chief Minister of Assam, Sarbananda Sonowal, is keen to resolve his state’s border disputes, including that with Meghalaya, through mutual dialogue and in a spirit of brotherhood.
Teli, who is the MP for Dibrugarh, in Assam, also said that the central government should mediate to help bring about a settlement over the border disputes and that there should be give and take from both states.
“I am not fully aware of the steps the Assam government is taking in this matter but I want the entire North East to be like a family and there should be no disputes,” Teli said.
