Tura MP, Agatha Sangma has urged the National Testing Agency (NTA) to set up a test centre for the upcoming Common University Entrance Test (CUET) for the under-graduate courses in Tura.
Sangma in a letter to Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today called for his intervention in granting at least one centre in the district headquarter of West Garo Hills.
The CUET for UG for the academic year 2022-23 in online mode is scheduled in first and second week of July 2022.
The MP said there is not even a single CUET test centre allotted for Tura in Meghalaya, which is her constituency, although three centres have been allowed for the state.
“I would really appreciate it and be grateful to you if you kindly direct the National Testing Agency to take steps to set at least one Centre for Common University Entrance Test CUET (UG) year 2022-23 in Tura, Garo Hills, Meghalaya,” she said in her letter.
