The SIAMSINPAWLPI (Paite Students Welfare Organisation) Shillong organised a felicitation-cum-motivational and blessings programme for successful Class 10 and Class 12 students at St Margaret Higher Secondary School here.
M Thanglianmang, a retired officer in the Central Bureau of Investigation, highlighted that the programme is mainly organised as an encouragement for successful students, with the motivational speeches needed to take them forwards in life.
H Chinkhenthang, retired Principal Secretary to the Meghalaya government, dwelt at length on the need for hard work and concrete determination in students’ lives. He emphasised and reiterated on the importance of time management, citing his personal experience from a humble family background to the senior civil service.
Another speaker, Ngulminthang, emphasised upon the need for obedience and self-determination in order to achieve success in every sphere of life, while Rev S Nengzakhup, Director of NECTAR, said that mere graduation and degrees are not enough to survive in this competitive world.
