Thirteen villages under East Jaintia Hills districts were covered till the second day of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA) campaign, a transformative program launched by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs for tribal empowerment and inclusive development.
Seventy-three villages under the district were identified to be covered under the campaign, scheduled to run till June 30.
The campaign will feature involvement of line departments including Health, Social Welfare, Skill Development, Agriculture, PHE, Education, Labour, Information Technology and Communication, Fishery, Tourism, PWD, Food and Civil Supplies, Community & Rural Development, MeECL, etc.
Services and benefits to be provided during the campaign include Aadhar Enrolment, Ayushman Bharat Registrations, opening of Jan Dhan Accounts, PM-KISAN enrolments, Aadhar linkage under MHIS, and others.
Residents will be guided on flagship schemes related to education, healthcare, housing, livelihood and skill development.
