The 4th Biotic Science Congress 2024, along with the International Conference on ‘Climate Smart Farming: Adoption, Impacts, and Implications for Sustainable Development,’ concluded today at the College of Agriculture at Kyrdemkulai, Ri-Bhoi.
During the conference, technical sessions and poster presentation sessions, scientist and farmer interactions along with input distribution were done.
Ram Singh, Dean of the College of Agriculture, delivered the concluding remarks at the completion of the conference. In his closing remarks, chief guest PK Chakrabarty, former ADG (PP & BS) and ASRB member, emphasised the urgency of integrating science, policy and grassroots action to tackle the impacts of climate change on agriculture.
The conference’s achievements were highlighted by Pranb Dutta, chief organising secretary, who applauded the interdisciplinary collaborations and shared commitment to sustainable development goals. Awards were presented to the researchers and students for the oral and poster presentation session to recognize their outstanding research and innovative contributions to advance climate-smart farming practices.
