An entrepreneurship development and capacity building programme for 30 livestock and poultry farmers was held at Umwang village in Ri-Bhoi, a press release informed today.
The event was conducted by the Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Ri-Bhoi, part of the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR) Regional Centre for the North Eastern Hill (NEH) Region, Umiam.
The farmers gathered to enhance their skills and knowledge in livestock management and entrepreneurial practices. The session was organised as part of KVK’s 100 Days Action Plan, designed to provide practical training and support to improve agricultural and livestock practices in the region.
Participants engaged in various activities, including workshops and hands-on demonstrations, focusing on modern techniques and sustainable practices for livestock rearing.
The initiative aimed to empower farmers with the necessary tools and insights to boost their productivity, optimise their operations and, ultimately, improve their economic outcomes.
