A police complaint has been lodged by a lawyer against creators of a YouTube channel ‘Young Moves Media’ for releasing a documentary for spreading religious hate and lies.
Advocate, Erwin K Syiem Sutnga in a FIR lodged at Sadar Police Station said that the creators of the channel through its documentary, “The Shillong File: Core Issues Ep. 97” has blatantly misused many incidents to give it a Hindu-Christian conflict and deliberate attacks on Hindus devotees residing in Meghalaya, especially Shillong.
“In reality this is not the truth and the Shillong Files has created misunderstanding while slandering the Christians of Meghalaya,” he said.
Sutnga said the documentary will further worsen the atmosphere of religious hatred in India and will pose a threat of religious clash among the residents of Meghalaya who are members of Christian and Hindu religions who at present lives peacefully within the state.
He sought the arrest of the owners and the anchor of the documentary and said that the creator should immediately take down the content to prevent residents of Meghalaya, who are living outside the state, from becoming soft targets of attacks.
