General Secretary of the BJP Mahila Block Mandal Mawsynram, Aidialin Dkhar today announced that she has resigned from the BJP party.
Dkhar said the decision to quit the party was she was not feeling comfortable with the BJP. According to Dkhar her resignation letter was not accepted by the incumbent MLA, Himalaya Shangpliang and hence decided to hold a press conference to make the decision public.
“I have worked with the local MLA of Mawsynram Himalaya Shangpliang as the general secretary of the Congress Mahila Mawsynram when he was with the Congress. I also accepted to continue working with him as the general secretary when he jumped ship to the TMC but this time he has joined the BJP and I am not comfortable with this party,” she said.
She also alleged that Shangpliang had appointed her as the general secretary of the BJP Mahila Block Mandal Mawsynram without her attending the meeting to confirm the party workers.
Two other party workers of the BJP Pyndensohsaw unit, Abadfaith Kharraswai and Diralson Dkhar also accompanied Dkhar to announce their decision to resign.
Dkhar further alleged that based on an RTI report she was deprived as one of the beneficiaries of the MLA scheme for setting up of a shop tuned to Rs 20, 000.
“I have also sent the RTI report to Shangpliang to show that my name has appeared as a beneficiary of the MLA scheme which I never got but he never responded on the matter,” she alleged.
Similarly, Kharraswai and Dkhar also said they were deprived of the scheme and there are many other beneficiaries too, who are not willing to come forward.
