RBP Higher Secondary School today inaugurated a new football academy that is aimed at developing the skills of talented youth players in the district.
The academy was opened by Nongpoh MLA Mayralborn Syiem in the presence of school principal W Radu, secretary of the school managing committee Rev DR Suting, teachers and students.
Thirty students, boys and girls, have enrolled themselves in the academy and showed off their skills at the launch by performing a variety of football drills.
In his speech, Syiem lauded the initiative taken by the school and hoped that it will benefit the students.
