A minor riding a scooty was killed when his vehicle collided head-on with a school bus in Songsak Te’bil Bonegre under East Garo Hills district today.
Police said that boy aged 13 years was travelling with two of his friends from North Garo Hills when the scooter collided in one turning in the national highway passing through Songsak. He died on the sport while his friends received grievous injuries.
The incident has brought into focus the menace of underage drivers as well as those driving without safety measures.
Police said a case has been registered for investigation while urging parents and guardians not to allow and encourage underage children to drive two wheelers.
