The District Sports Officer, South West Khasi Hills District in collaboration with the District Level Committee, District Promotion Society, South West Khasi Hills District, Mawkyrwat today conducted the ‘Independence Day Run 2022’ at Mawkyrwat.
The 12 km-run which is part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) celebration started and culminated at Maharam Government Higher Secondary School.
From around 300 participants, Hepstarly Lyngkhoi from Mawthawpdah, Wobeststar Ramsiej and Iwelljohn Ramsiej from Sakwang emerge winners while Kyntimon Marweiñ from Mawlangwir, Lyntijingkmen Kharjahrin and Marqueenless Ramsiej from Sakwang were winners from the girls.
