There were 30 new cases of Covid-19 recorded in Meghalaya today, along with 53 recoveries and one fatality.
The lone death was logged in West Garo Hills, the Health Department informed.
There were three new infections in East Khasi Hills, two in East Jaiñtia Hills, six in Ri-Bhoi, two in South Garo Hills, one in South West Garo Hills, 14 in West Garo Hills, one in West Jaiñtia Hills and one in West Khasi Hills.
Sixteen recoveries were in East Khasi Hills, 11 in Ri-Bhoi, one in South Garo Hills, two in South West Garo Hills, 19 in West Garo Hills, three in West Jaiñtia Hills and one in West Khasi Hills.
There are now 553 active Covid-19 cases in the state – East Garo Hills seven, East Jaiñtia Hills five, East Khasi Hills 128, Eastern West Khasi Hills three, North Garo Hills six, Ri-Bhoi 48, South Garo Hills 14, South West Garo Hills 27, West Garo Hills 299, West Jaiñtia Hills 13 and West Khasi Hills three.
In all, Meghalaya has had 94,881 Covid-19 cases, out of which 92,727 have recovered and 1,601 have died from the virus. Sixty-three patients are being treated in hospital with the disease – 44 in East Khasi Hills, one in Ri-Bhoi, 14 in West Garo Hills and four in West Jaiñtia Hills.
