Three people were injured after a truck rammed into two vehicles on National Highway 6 at Mawdiangum, Ri-Bhoi, today.
The truck (ML 11 8124) was speeding at the time, according to information, while it was on its way from Guwahati to Shillong. The driver lost control and struck a Mahindra Bolero pickup (ML 10 C 0886) and a truck parked on the side of the road (UP 22 AT 1640).
The three people injured were identified as Bantei Kynjing (22), the driver of the Meghalaya-registered truck, Ononto Majhong (21), the driver of the pickup, and Ravi Kumar, the co-driver of the parked truck. They were taken to Nongpoh Civil Hospital for treatment.
Police are investigating.
