A man killed his wife and phoned his son to inform about his crime and escaped from the house.
The man was identified as one Plom Dkhar, a resident of Jalyiah village in East Jaiñtia Hills district.
Police said he strangulated his 43-year old wife, The Siangshai this morning at their home at around 3 am. The victim is a mother of 10 children.
After committing the crime, Dkhar phone his eldest son and escaped from the scene. A FIR was lodge by the brother of Siangshai today at Khliehriat Women Police Station and police has launched man hunt to nab the person.
The reason behind the killing is not yet known.
The Jalyiah dorbar shnong has demanded for his immediate arrest and punish him under the law.
