As a part of World No-Tobacco Day, Alpha English Higher Secondary School, Nongpoh, organized a rally and signature campaign to say no to tobacco and stop consuming tobacco.
The rally started at the school campus up to the DTO office and ended back at the school.
Banners and placards were displayed to spread the message on the ill effects of consuming tobacco.
Daiar Pyrbot and Deigratia Kharbyngngar, teachers of Alpha English HSS, said that the rally and signature campaign was organized to create mass awareness among the local people that consuming tobacco causes serious illness and even loss of life.
