There was one new Covid-related death recorded in Meghalaya today along with 13 new cases and 23 recoveries.
The lone fatality was in West Garo Hills. There have now been eight Covid deaths in the state this month.
East Jaiñtia Hills recorded three new cases, West Jaiñtia Hills three, East Garo Hills one, East Khasi Hills one, North Garo Hills one, Ri-Bhoi one, South Garo Hills one, South West Garo Hills one and West Garo Hills one.
East Khasi Hills accounted for six recoveries, West Khasi Hills four, West Garo Hills three, North Garo Hills two, Ri-Bhoi two, West Jaiñtia Hills two, East Garo Hills one, East Jaiñtia Hills one, South Garo Hills one and South West Garo Hills one.
There are now 129 active Covid-19 cases in the state. Ri-Bhoi along accounts for 28 cases, East Khasi Hills 27, West Jaiñtia Hills 19, North Garo Hills 11, East Garo Hills 10, West Garo Hills 10, East Jaiñtia Hills nine, West Khasi Hills si, South West Garo Hills three, South West Khasi Hills three, South Garo Hills two and Eastern West Khasi Hills one.
In all, Meghalaya has had 93,614 Covid-19 cases, of which 129 are active, 91,899 have recovered and 1,586 have died from the virus. The seven-day average of new infections has stayed level at 16.71.
