A poly house constructed as a unit for floriculture was inaugurated at Tangmang village in East Khasi Hills district recently with the support of the AROH Foundation and the HDFC Bank Ltd.
Block Mission Coordinator, M. Pyngrope attended the programme as the chief guest and urged self help groups to do well and maintain the unit and assured support to developmental projects to be taken up by the foundation.
Project Coordinator of AROH Foundation, A. Warjri hoped that the SHG members will take ownership of the unit and to take it to greater heights and become leading entrepreneur group of the area in production and supply of fresh flowers.
Headman of Tangmang was grateful for the support that the SHG from his village received and hope that the unit will boost the income generation of each members and the village will be recognised as one of the leading villages who would produce fresh flowers and to cater the demand of not only the nearby villages but the state as a whole.
Cluster Coordinator from MSRLS T. Khsongsam urged members to cooperate and work together for sustainable growth.
