Governor Satya Pal Malik paid a visit to the Assam Rifles headquarters in Laitkor today.
During the visit, the Governor was briefed by Assam Rifles Director General, Lt Gen PC Nair, on the various activities being undertaken by the force.
Malik undertook a tour of the Laitkor Garrison and complimented Assam Rifles for the well-maintained campus and service to the people in the challenging terrain of the North East.
He also exhorted all ranks of the force to continue to maintain peace and tranquility in the region.
