Twenty-nine cadets of the National Cadet Corps (NCC), three civilian staff and three officers were today felicitated by Governor Satya Pal Malik for voluntary blood donation to celebrate NCC Day during a function held at the Durbar Hall, Raj Bhavan.
Addressing the gathering, the Governor lauded the NCC for providing a great experience to the youth of the country to realise their true potential and contribute to nation building. He stated that that the motto of the NCC “Unity and Discipline” is an inspiration to the youth and called upon the cadets to inspire others by setting an example of discipline and motivation in all walks of life.
Malik congratulated the NCC cadets for their selfless service towards the society by voluntarily coming forward and donating blood across the nation. He urged the cadets to take advantage of the unique opportunities provided by the NCC for their self-development.
