A ‘Youth Club Development Campaign’ (YCDC) organised by the Nehru Yuva Kendra, Shillong concluded yesterday at Mawsynram Block.
The YCDC aims at forming new clubs and strengthening the existing network of clubs with a representation of all classes of society.
A declamation contest on “Patriotism and Nation Building” was also organised as part of the campaign.
Deputy Director of NYKS, Shillong D. Rapsang encouraged the youths to have the spirit to work hard and be leaders. He also stressed on the guidelines on how to form a new youth club and also encouraged the clubs to affiliate with NYKS and with other government establishments as well.
The programme held at Mawlai Sohmat Secondary School, Phlangwanbroi, was attended by Denishan Iawrod (NYV) Mawsynram Block, member of the dorbar shnongs Phlangwanbroi, A. Snaitang. Kitboklang Iawrod, Assistant Professor of Mawsynram Border Area College.
