Fewer than 15 per cent of hospital beds reserved for Covid-19 patients in Meghalaya are now occupied, a steep fall from the highs witnessed at the height of the second wave when healthcare institutions were close to being overwhelmed.
According to government data, 158 out of 1,084 Covid beds are occupied in the state, which works out to 14.58 per cent, the lowest this figure has been since the second wave took hold.
