Representatives of Elaka Sumer, religious leaders, village heads and members of the East Jaiñtia National Council met Sutnga-Saipung MLA Shitlang Pale seeking his intervention in getting a road constructed.
Village heads of Pala, Khahnar, Kseh and Muknoor pointed out that the road connecting their villages is in a dilapidated state. They said that the MLA should take up the issue in the coming Autumn Session of the Assembly.
Pale assured the residents that he will look into their problems even as he said that he had spoken to concerned authorities and that the road was sanctioned under the PMGSY scheme. He stated that the contractor has not started constructing of the road due to the pandemic. However, he also assured that he will sanction money from his MLA scheme for temporary repair works.
