The Jowai unit of the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the youth wing of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) distributed masks to students at Kiang Nangbah Government Higher Secondary School, specifically those who were found not to be wearing facemasks.
ABVP members also sanitized Jowai Police Station, petrol pumps, HK Singh Memorial Secondary School and Jowai Government Girls Secondary School, a press release said today.
In the coming days the ABVP will also conduct an awareness drive for Covid-19 vaccination for those above 18 years.
Those present today included the state secretary of the ABVP, Nibiang Sumer, state executive council member Vicky Lyngdoh, district in-charge Fullmoon Suchiang, town organising secretary Lebanon D Sangma and others.
