Meghalaya registered its 151st death due to Covid-19, the Health Department informed today.
The new death was recorded in East Khasi Hills. It was the first Covid-related fatality in the state this month.
There were also 25 new cases reported in the state today – 20 in East Khasi Hills, two in East Jaiñtia Hills and one each in Ri-Bhoi, West Khasi Hills and West Jaiñtia Hills. There was also one recovery in West Garo Hills.
In all, Meghalaya has had 14,165 Covid-19 cases, of which 131 are active, 13,883 have recovered and 151 have died from the virus. The recovery rate has fallen to 98.01 per cent. The fatality rate is 1.07 per cent.
